Indiana
After NU made sweeping changes to its athletic department at the end of
1980, it also changed its program style, making it consistent with
the 1981 media guide. Note the block "N" on the practice
helmet in the photo. NU would never use that style in a game,
debuting the modern "N" in the Indiana game.

For 1982 and the celebration of NU's (intercollegiate)
football centennial, the school commissioned Ron DiCanni to produce a
series of watercolors for the '82 media guide and home programs.
This one shows coaches Hanley, Parseghian and Waldorf.

NIU
This cover depicts Ralph "Moon" Baker. The "Great Victories"
cover would have been more appropriate for this game: NU's win vs. NIU
on this day snapped The Streak.

Ohio State - Classic Cover Of
DiCanni's images, arguably the best is this watercolor version of the
iconic '49 Rose Bowl photo, showing Ed Tunnicliff's TD run and Richard
Anderson's monster block. It is the twentieth and last of the CLASSIC NU PROGRAM COVERS.

Washington
For 1983, NU changed its programs to a style that would last for much
of the rest of the '80s. The cover featured a photo, and the
content was mostly from national syndication.
