Northwestern
opened its 2024 season with a hard-fought win against Miami,
christening the new football facility on the lakefront. The 'Cats
revealed a powerful defense during its 13-6 victory at Northwestern
Medicine Field. The Wildcats' offense is a work in progress, but it has
real potential once it gets its sea legs.
The game was Northwestern's first home game east of Sheridan Road since
the 1904 season, and it showed off one of the most beautiful settings
in college football, with fantastic views of the lake and the Chicago
skyline. NU put together a stadium and a program that wowed the
sold-out crowd, and it did so in just a matter of a couple of months.
The win gives Northwestern a five game winning streak dating to last season.
